The presence of polyphenolic micronutrients in food is shown to be beneficial to humans health due to their powerful anti-oxidation properties. MetaSci’s Phenolic Acids and Alcohols (PAA) Standard Mix contains 50 phenolic compounds that are building blocks of polyphenols. The standard mixtures come as 0.10 mg/mL DMF solution and are suitable to use with HPLC methods utilizing a standard C18 column and MS, UV or ELSD detector. Each mixture is designed to have 10 compounds highly resolved on C18 column with no isobaric interference which makes it to work even on a low resolution MS. The standard mixtures can be used for peak identification, making calibration curves for quantification and making an in-house digital library of spectra.

Some of the more volatile polyphenol building blocks (such as phenol, pyrogallol and phlorglucinol) are moved to our Aromatic Volatile Standard Mixtures, because of excessivelylow signal due to volatility and inefficient ionization using ESI ion source.  To cover a larger collection of polyphenols you can use the Aromatic Volatile Standard Mixtures for LCMS methods.

  • 50 phenolic acids and phenolic alcohols, high purity, single peak, completely resolved
  • Fully quantitative, 0.10 mg/mL.
  • 5  High recovery sets with 10 phenolic compound in each. Each set contains five microampules of 200 uL. Using microampules allows you to keep the unused amount in the sealed glass container. Each set contains 5 microampules, totalling to 25 microampules.
  • Packed under argon
  • Contains an internal standard to adjust your retention time with IS lock
  • No isobaric interference means there are no two compounds with the same molecular formula in a microampule. This design allows identification by low resolution single quad mass spectrometer without a need for digital libraries for identification.
